A Great Walk

Some people look fine in the morning after going to bed with wet hair.
I am not one of them.

Thankfully, my hair was not an indication of how my weekend would go.
On friday, Tif and I took our bi-annual walk to the Robin's Nest for lunch.
It was a gorgeous day with the temple flowers in full bloom:

After a tasty lunch at the Nest, Tif and I started walking toward our next destination. We made it about 10 feet until we got sidetracked. Sidetracked by old pictures.
And postcards. And books. And books. And books.
From there, we walked down to Les Madeleines for macaroons,
(or as they call them, 'shanghai buttons'). I got two passionfruit macaroons:
(Insert drooling here).
I have never had a macaroon before so I didn't know what I was missing out on. Now I know.
Who would have guessed that those two little passionfruit buttons would open up a monster in me...I needed more. Now we were on a quest. After we walked over to a little clothing shop,
and took some pictures in front of a lovely wall,
we decided to hit up Gourmandise on our hunt for macaroons.
...and lookie what we found:
Hey pretties! I'm going to eat you!
We wrapped up our walk after Gourmandise and headed home.
Unfortunately/fortunately, the taste for macaroons was still with me.

Saturday:

I went back:
Hazelnut, chocolate, raspberry, lemon and vanilla little angels.
After I bought my treasures, I went and perused the old picture/bookstore again.
I found this very sad-looking Pinocchio book. I'm glad that Disney didn't go with this version.
I did, however, walk away with some gems:
Thanks, weekend. You were good to me.
